In August, housing sales were moved, 110,538 houses were sold

Commenting on the real estate data of TURKSTAT in August, Aylin Daylan, chairman of the Endeksa.com Marketing and Sales Group, said, "In August, 110,538 houses were sold throughout Turkey. With this, housing sales increased by 8% compared to July and by 5% compared to August of last year. As of the end of August, 875,064 houses have been sold throughout Turkey since the beginning of 2019. That's 18% lower than the same period last year. In August, 34,148 mortgage dwellings were sold. With this volume, the sale of mortgaged houses in August increased by 161% compared to July, accounting for 31% of total sales, "he said.

3,604 houses sold to foreigners

Daylan stated that 3,604 houses were sold to foreigners in August, adding, "This piece accounted for 3% of total housing sales. Istanbul, Antalya, Bursa, Ankara and Yalova were the provinces where foreigners purchased the most houses. The foreigners who received the most housing from Turkey were citizens of Iraq, Iran, The Russian Federation, Kuwait, Germany, Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan, respectively. In the first 8 months of 2019, the sale of housing to foreigners increased by 50% compared to the same period last year.

Indicating the change in the price of housing sales in Turkey, the Index Housing Index reached the level of 133.49 points at the end of August, Daylan said: "The Endeksa compared to July 1.45 points, 14.19 points decrease since the beginning of the year he's shown it.
