Average Rental Value Increase Across Turkey 55%
According to the analysis of the index, the expected rental value increase between 20% and 25% in the projection according to inflation rate was 55% across Turkey

The importance of the need for housing, which is at the top of our most basic needs with the pandemic effect that we began to feel in our country in early 2019, once again came to the fore. With the expansion of work from home, the demand for larger, and preferably garden and detached houses has increased. At the same time, housing production slowed down due to the increase in new housing production costs, and housing sales and rental values increased. We observe that this effect is in this way not only in our country, but all over the world.

Due to the increase in rents, relocations on the rental housing side decreased, hence the stock of rental housing fell. Since time immemorial, people living in the same dwelling will rent a new house at a higher price than the existing rent costs, so mobility has decreased, except for the necessity on the rent side. This led to a decrease in stocks.

Indexsa.com Founding Partner and General Manager Görkem Öğüt said, “The rate of increase in rents is quite high. According to the inflation rate, we expect to take place between 20% and 25% in projections, the housing rent increase is 55% across Turkey while Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Bursa and Antalya averages 73% took place at the level. This increase has become a major problem for tenants. Recently, people in search of housing for rent have both difficulty finding housing due to the shortage of inventories, and are surprised and angry about the required costs for the housing they find, “he said.
